THIS HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN - i'M KEEPING IT

Focus Enhancements Firestore FS-4 40GB DTE Recorder.

This is virtually BRAND NEW. I literally charged 1 of the 2 included batteries, powered it on, played with the menus, then turned it off, and it's been in it's box ever since.
Take a look at the recorder.... the protective film cover is still there.

I purchased it brand new about 1-1/2 years ago, I am the original owner.

Included is everything that came with it new -- box, manual, warranty card, 2 Firestore 90-minute batteries (one has never been charged), belt clip, hotshoe mounting bracket, Manfrotto 482 mini ball head, charger, Firewire cables.

I am new here, but have been on eBay for 9 years with 100% feedback over 450 transactions - username is kennyg92.

Item is located in the Seattle area and local pickup is not only OK, it would be preferred.

Asking $550 OBO + PayPal fees (if used) and shipping.

Thanks for looking!!

Just curious about one thing. There's been so many different FS-4 models/controversy of it working with the Canon XH-A1, I'm all confused. I realize that there's no way it'll record 1080/24f in QT, but will it record 1080/24f HDV to .m2t files? I think I read somewhere that it was an upgrade or something, but since Focus Enhancements has since gone under, I'm a little wary of relying on them for the upgrade.

Thanks,

Kegan

Wow, that was news to me. Looks like they're under Chap. 11 which means they'll still have the doors open, for how long is anyone's guess.

BTW, hope you realize that the FS-4 I'm selling is not the HD (HiDef) version.

I'll most likely keep it if no one wants it (which now is completely understandable).

FYI

Just got off the phone with Focus Enhancements and they were very animated about reassuring that there is virtually no change in their business save for the "leaving" of their VP of Sales.

"It's business as usual and that's not going to change. We're going through a reorganization, not closing. All of our product line is still fully available and supported"

Thanks to the respondants for all of the replies, and good HD upgrade info.
I've decided to keep it.
