Can someone explain about Nikon Lenses?

Can anyone provide me a good link or explain how to choose good lenses. Like how do I know about light loss, and "faster" lenses, etc. when looking at the lens... Quality of lens, price, "fast" or "slow" lenses... i've heard stuff like that but haven't quite grasped it, and I am going to be needing Nikon Lenses for my Letus 35mm adapter for my DVX100, so I would like to be a more informed shopper. Also, I'm thinking of getting a Nikon camera too sometime in the future. Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

JM

You can find my personal reviews with samples of the 18-200VR, 17-55, 55-200VR, 70-200VR and TC17 teleconverter here:

For the moment I am trying some classic AI-lenses - the 35 2.0, 105 2.5, 70-150 series E. and I plan to add some pages about them too.
