wgzn Veteran Oct 5, 2008 #4 what it is is a non-geared, sort of rubber/foam ring that will turn a focus ring via grip/friction instead of gears. hence the name. my indifocus came with one in addition to all the geared bits. their website doesnt show one. but many follow focus systems include one
