I guess black bears don't like Subway.

Oh... I thought that was Jared in need of a shave! I guess they were all out of Meatball, cause we all know that's the best sub...yum.

And the bear ate... nothing? I really need to rethink eating at Subway.

I have a Subway underneath my office and after a few years of eating lunch there and smelling the bread in the morning, I won't touch the place.

Is it just me or has the quality really slipped at Subway? It used to be great and now it just seems like crap.

I agree - Subway used to be much better. I dunno...I think it has to do with their McDonald's type hiring methods now. No longer are they sandwich artists, but are now punk kids with attitudes.

Seriously, that is sort of pathetic how the bear ate nothing.

Yeah, they've gone down hill quite considerably.

I still eat there, but not as much.

Bears are cool tho. :)

They used to cut the bread differently. They'd cut out like a V shaped notch in the middle of the sub and load it up, now they cut through the side of it, pile a bunch of crap in it and half of it ends up all over the place. The ingredients also aren't as tasty as they used to be.

I belive The "V" cut was patented by the former owner. When he sold the brand, he kept the cut.

The taste hasn't changed that mutch.. the preperation over all just seems, slopier.

Interesting. But can you patent how you cut bread?

That's probably what it is. Just thrown together.

I'm impressed that he knew how to pull/push the door correctly. I always get them mixed up and end up pulling when I should push.

:)

Anyone tried Blimpies? They had them in Seattle and they were just like Subways, except how Subways use to be.

We have blimpies up here in CNY. Though - the local one closed before I moved to Ithaca. I really enjoyed the subs there.

I still get Subway here and there. 5 dollar footlongs are lovely. And I can't do Quiznos - every time I've been there I've gotten terribly ill.

I don't think that was digital Robbie.

Blimpies were all over STL... but they ALL closed.

For a brief time another sub-sandwich chain took over... "Fatties"... but for some reason the Jarred/Subway message was insurmountable.

I kept writing to Blimpie's... offering to put on 100lbs for the role of "Jarrod" in their advertising assault on Subway...
