MORNING — An 8-minute Romantic Comedy

Hi! I’m the founder of Flying Sugar Independent Film Studio. I’ve already posted our short Baby Carriage and many of you liked it, so I decided to show you the new one.

It’s a romantic comedy called MORNING. A man wakes up after a binge and tries to remember what has happened the day before. I hope you’ll like it.

The film was shot with Panasonic AG-DVX100BE, edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 (glitchy shi*) and encoded using VirtualDub (DivX) and Flix Pro (FLV).
 
Looked great and the girl was cute too. Well worth watching. I like the use of still photos to tell part of the story.

I watched this in class on mute
and the whole time I was laughing, and people were looking at me like I was retarded
It was very comically shot, great job.

The incredibly diffused lighting looked great, can you tell us about your lighting setups?

The story was good, very awkward, very perverted.

I did not get the ending at all, so therefore the ending sucks bad, can you explain it to us?

As mentioned before, the use of sepia looking stills worked wonders for me, kudos on that

We just used one silver reflector disc and the sunlight in the room and in the kitchen. In the toilet we used one Tungsten Fresnel Light.

Oh, and Magic Bullet Looks plugin for Adobe Premiere in post-production.

I’m afraid that if you want to get the ending you have to watch our short film CASE. The problem is that there is pretty much talking in Russian there (in the second half), and no English subtitles. But why not try? :-)

I don’t want to cut the second ending. It gives this story the meaning I wanted it to have. I like it. And there will be no additional nudity though I have some footage on my HDD :Drogar-Love(DBG):

Great quality. The windows were blown out but everything else looked great.

Like the others, I don't get the ending.
 
Very good short movie. It was a good touch for him to sing for her first thing in the morning; that's enough to drive any girl nuts. LOL

The ending made sense because the whole episode was a daydream; she would've never fallen for him and he could've never have picked her up drunk like that.

So he had to think of killing her at the end; he could never have her. Maybe it was fantasy that he had to kill. Or even himself? No, all he needed to do was loose some weight -- the last shot jiggling the fat -- good ending.

Overall, good short movie, like I said. Nice song, nice looking girl, great acting. Keep up the good work.
 
A good movie, I liked the directing and operator's work.

The second ending is more clear if you've watched another movie - Case - but as mentioned above it has a lot of talking in russian which needs translating.
