Radiohead A.K.A Voice of God.

So last night I was privileged enough to attend the sold out Radiohead show at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto. I have to see, it was truly mind blowing. The stage setup was epic, the music was even more epic and the weather sucked. It was raining hard and cold as all hell when the opening band was playing, the sky began to clear and the sky was filled with rainbows...how fitting. Then came the voice of God. Every song from In Rainbows was played, every song was perfect, it was perfect. So really what im saying, is that if you ever get the chance to go see Radiohead, do it. You will not be dissapointed.

I've seen that and I don't get it. Saw RH at Verizon in Charlotte this summer and it was everything I've built them up to be. Thom doesn't disappoint. Simply one of the best live performers today.

That VERSA Tube set they're rocking is ****ing awesome too. You see VERSA in a lot of shows, but it's never used as well or with such great compliment to the music.

I saw them a few years back when Hail To The Thief came out. They were fantastic.

REM was in town and played the night before, so Michael Stipe came out and did a song with them. Was pretty awesome.

I had a completely different experience than ya'll did. The show for me sold out before I had a chance to get tickets but was lucky enough to have a buddy bail me out and sell me two tickets. I was stoked and couldn't wait to see this show. Even the parking lot was a good experience. That being said, the show I saw in Charlotte, NC this summer was easily one of the most pretentious shows I had ever seen. At one point they even said, "Heres a song you can find on a torrent site"

I don't go to shows to hear a bunch of eclectic b-side random crap, I want to hear a good mix of hits as well as artist favorites. The show I saw here was completely all over the place with very few exceptions (they did play Paranoid Android).

To me seeing Radiohead, a band I had always wanted to see, was a complete disappointment... I was glad that I saw the show so now I don't have any desire to see them again in the future.

In fact, the more time that goes by the more bitter I have become regarding the experience. It just didn't up to the hype.

I did see REM this summer... hits combined with classics and new releases and band favorites. They covered their entire discography and history going back almost 20 years. Much better of a show and Stipe was a rock god...

Just my opinion.

Wow didn't realize there were so many radioheads here. Thought I was the only one. :)

Yea best group ever !

Any of you guys into Unkle ?

Is it fair to assume that you are a big fan of The Bends and Ok Computer, but no so much Kid A and everything after? Because the set list from the Charlotte show includes a number of "hits" from the latter albums ("There There," "Idioteque," Morning Bell," "Everything In Its Right Place," "Optimistic") and only two b-sides ("Bangers and Mash" and "Talk Show Host").

Just curious, because I loved the show I saw in Jersey, but some of my friends who really only like the first few albums hated it (similar set list). I like all the albums, so they can play literally everything and I love it, but I feel like there was a great schism around the time of Kid A that divided some fans.

In Rainbows is growing on me steadily, but I'm still a die-hard OK Computer fanatic.

Everything of theirs is leaps better than anything from most any other band out there today. That said, I was ecstatic when they played Android. Radiohead, inexcusibly, made a dire wreck of Airbag, which was shocking. Shocking.

Anyway, still one of my favorite concerts of all time. And I've seen some good ones.

Lucky.

I was really hoping I'd hear it again in Houston this time around - but no such luck.
They did however do a killer 'Idioteque' as an encore.
That song is so much better when they do it live, I can barely listen to the CD version of it anymore.

Seen them three times, OK Computer, Kid A and Hail to the Thief tours. The Kid A show in Chicago, outdoors at the softball fields near the lake was the single greatest show ever! Beta Band opened (talk about an awesome opening act), Kid Koala followed and even did a version of "Fitter Happier". About five songs into Radiohead I turn to my friend and say if they finish with Street Spirit (Fade Out) it will be the single greatest show in the history of ever. On the THIRD encore they finish with said song.

You have no idea how jealous I am.
I went to the Houston show for the Kid A tour - the first show of the US leg of the tour.
Couldn't wait to see Beta Band...... but I did...I waited and waited and waited.....

And they never came on.

Apparently they had an issue at customs coming into the country and didn't make it to that show.

Luckily I was able to see them the next year at a pretty small show in Austin, which was one of the best live shows I've seen. But I still can't help but think having them open on the Kid A tour would have been the one of the best combos I'd have ever seen.

Vesa tubes eh... I was wondering what they were. They did some pretty amazing things with those magical tubes. But im glad to see so many radiohead's on dvx. If by chance you have yet to listen to In Rainbows, you are missing out on one of the greatest albums ever recorded.
