dvx100a change from NTSC to PAL

Hello,

I bought a dvx100a in the U.S. and moved to Europe. I would like to know if I can re-program the camera (update firmware etc) to change it to PAL recording.

I saw this "feature" (basically hacking the camera software) works with some other cameras.

I searched the forum, but did not find anything.

Not possible at all. There were one or two old Sony camcorders that you could hack to change formats, but it's not possible on the DVX because the hardware is different.

As far as voltage, I'm using a PAL DVX in the states, and all I did was replace the power supply cord. But double check with a Panasonic dealer first, I'd hate to be responsible for your camera blowing up.:)
