35mm adapter rig photos

Hi RYVAC,

I'm very satisfied with that shoulder mount. It's made in a very solid way and very comfortable. Furthermore it doesn't weighs that much.

I often focus my way so I only need one handle on the right side of the camera. So I turn it down for handcamera use and turn it up (like on the picture) when I don't need it. My handle doesn't twist, it's tight enough, but I also read abut that.

It's starting to come together....

Zazza it looks like your rr soft mount thing is backwards.

I agree with ecking. It is backwards. But if it works, it works!

Again, excuse my ignorance, but I bought this M2 used and can't seem to find much in the line of instructions. (some videos on youtube)

So, when you say 'softmount' I'm assuming there's another way to mount this? This is 'hardmounted' I believe, because everything it threaded together from the camera lens to the adapter. I just added the rubber hood...well, just because it was in the kit and if there was any light leaking it would help...and it looks cleaner to me???? It seems to work like a charm. I have to zoom in to about Z80 and I'm in business.

I don't know...am I correct in assuming it would be considered a 'Hardmount'?

Thanks for the help.

Um. Redrock has tutorials on their website's forums as well as on vimeo.

If you are truly hardmounted, the rubber hood is not needed at all. Everything should connect to everything else and therefore the rubber hood does no good to block any light.

The M2 can be mounted hardmounted or softmounted with the rubber hood. Take some more pictures and I'll try my best to help you get everything set up right.

Actually no I haven't tried using this thing with a green screen or blue screen yet. Are their any differences that apply when using DOFAs? Apart from that, the green screen covers up the ugly closet door behind. I wanted the gear separated from the background.

Oh okay. I was about to say! Using a DOFA with a greenscreen just seems like it would complicate things for most people.

Thanks! That answered my question...it is hard mounted & I just stuck the rubber hood on there for 'looks' (serves no purpose at all). Hearing over to RR to look for the tutorials again.

Thanks...

Have you tried your Lomos on the Brevis yet? They offer an Oct 19 mount I believe. The Zeiss SLR primes are nice, but the Lomos are delicious.....

Ian,

I'm in the process of having a friend make an OCT18 mount for my Brevis so I can use the LOMO's without having to convert them all. Should be ready in a week or so to test out. We'll see what happens.
