New Illusion I made Causing a Stir

Oops, sorry for the naughty.

It sounds like you really know your illusion stuff. I'm an illusion fan and I have to say, Good Work!

I talked to the production company today and they watched the demo and are going to market the illusion! I am excited! Now I will move on to finishing the DVD in the next two weeks, and moving toward the release which is not scheduled as of yet. -Matt

The one that gets me is when you knock down cards under an arch of pens... And when you aren't even facing the pen! Oooooooooooooo! :)

That is one great illusion. It's times like these that I wish I know more about this stuff. I mean just pulling that out at parties would be immense.

*******************SPOILERS I SOLVED IT********************************

At the top of the video, I saw Matt palm an extremely large clove of garlic, which he then slipped into his mouth un-noticed. So that his breath became so deadly that the cards and other objects fell over dead at the word.

I tried this myself tonight, but unfortunately I puked on the garlic before I could make a video of the illusion.

It is true. You were not supposed to see the garlic eating! My illusion also doubles as a way to keep vampires away.

I will keep the link up for one more day.

damn. Thats impressive. I'm not even a big illusion fan and I find this quite intriguing... Heck I cant even stand a pen up on its end and get it to stay...

Not to be too nosey but is this something thats you'd be able to make a living from selling these techniques and having them distributed like this?

edit - I did get a pen to finally stay standing but after several attempts at saying fall and thinking really hard - and even bumping the table a few times I got nothing... You'd think shaking the table wouldve worked...

I actually know how this is accomplished but I won't blow it here. I may PM Matt and chat with him about it though. Just to be sure.

Matt, you have mail. :)

Actually Michael, the method you proposed is one I use for other things, but not this effect. None of this involves that method. This is a new approach as far as I know, and I showed a PK Magic engineer the video and he also suspected a method that was incorrect. I am hoping this continues to be the case, because it will help sales. Some people will buy it just to figure it out! I will keep the video up until 5pm PST.

are you holding a device in your hand that causes the objects to fall when pressed?

Nope. (I could walk into a party, ask someone to borrow their pen. Set it on the table and walk several feet away from it. With my back turned, I could then say "Fall" (knock it over) and then walk out the door leaving them with the pen and an expression of amazement. It is THAT clean. That is why I am excited!:):thumbup::dankk2:
