Liquid 7 vs Media Composer

[Jet Nine]

What's the difference between Liquid 7 and Media Composer?

Is Liquid 7 a good entry point to learn Avid?

tnx

Liquid was developed by Pinacle. Pinacle was acquired by Avid. There is almost no similarity what so ever between the two programs.

Completely different interfaces. If you want to play around with the Avid interface they offer a very basic FreeDV software for download. Avid is a great editor, but no really a play with it and learn it program. I would suggest if want to learn it get some training materials.

Good Luck

Well . . . it was developed by Fast and then bought by Pinnacle, but yeah, no similarity at all. Liquid is more similar to Premiere or FCP.

I forgot about Fast. Thanks for clearing that up.
