REMAKES you want to be made ..

Logan's Run is planned to be remade, but I can't remember who was supposed to be doing it. Zardoz was a wierd flick, not one of Connory's better roles.

For the longest time, I thought Westworld and Logan's Run both would be prime for remakin'. More recently, tho, I've come to realize that I have too much respect for them to see them raked through too many CGI coals. The same goes doubly for Clash of the Titans (which I know is on its way...shutter).

A few Kafka faves...

The Trial (Orson Welles was good, but maybe it's time for an update), and The Castle (an obscure German flick of the novel from the 60s...not to be found...maybe for the best)

I think I'd kill myself if these actually got made.

JR Hudson -- your Thing sequel concepts are great. No need to do a remake if they can do a sequel. The Thing is one of those type of films like Aliens, Terminator, or Predator that can actually work without the main human star. Don't get me wrong, the cast of J Carpenter's film was great, but it could work with a completely new cast.

As for a remake, I hate to be the party pooper.

From the Wikipedia page on The Thing

In September of 2006, it was announced in Fangoria magazine that Strike Entertainment, the production company behind Slither and the Dawn of the Dead remake, is looking for a writer or writers to write a theatrical prequel to The Thing.

According to Variety, Strike Entertainment and Universal Pictures are preparing to remake The Thing. Ronald D. Moore is set to write the script with Marc Abraham and Eric Newman producing. David Foster, producer of the original film, will be executive producer of the remake. In a 2007 interview with Ronald D. Moore, Moore states that he is working on a script, but no date has been set for production.

Well, Ronald D. Moore of the new Battlestar Galactica series writing the script means that it has the chance to be good or even great. Then again, it doesn't sound like much has been happening with it since 2007 so maybe it's a dead project.

You just pooped on my party.:crybaby:

ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE TO BE ASSUMED TO HAVE GOOD DIRECTION AND CASTING... AKA IN THE RIGHT HANDS.

After screwing up Ghost Busters II so badly, I would like to see a reinvention of the ghostbusters. Just need to work really hard on the story. I liked how the ghost busters always had paranormal obstacles and bureaucratic obstacles.

Not now, but eventually would like a re-stab at Spiderman during the venom saga. AKA Spiderman 3 sucked at representing venom, and sucked in general.

Pearl Harbor! Such potential wasted on Hollywood glam and excess. Was an insult to anyone who was really there. Need a more 'realistic', visual and beautiful version.

I enjoyed Pearl Harbor for what it was. It reminded me of the throwback WW2 films that had the action, the romance ....

I want to make a WW2 war epic (one day god willing) on Wake Island and yes, I would use some liberty and ad some romance in the vein of Pan Am Airlines. This would be in the beginning, before the attack takes place.

But I'm intrigued by the combination of stories of Marines, Sailors and Civilians that took part in this event.

I like the Wake Island idea. There are so many amazing WWII stories that most of us wouldn't even know about.

I'd like to see a really great World War I film. Something like Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan mixed with the surreal feel of Apocalypse Now, but in WWI (think about it, trench warfare and gas attacks). There haven't been many WWI films compared to all the WWII ones. The only ones that I can think of off the top of my head are Paths of Glory and A Very Long Engagement, which wasn't completely focused on the actual fighting on the front lines. Both good films though.

Full House: The Movie.

Twenty years later, Jesse and Rebecca are divorced. He's an alcoholic and she is a national news anchor. Their twins are both addicst: one drugs, one gambling. DJ is a middle-aged hooker. Danny Tanner is in a mental hospital for OCD cleaning. Joey is still doing stand up in dive bars for 5-person audiences. And he's started drinking. Michelle is battling an eating disorder. Stephanie is a recovering meth addict. Our protagonist is Kimmy Gibbler.

American Ninja starring Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes (or Michael Jai White). LOL.
