How to Build a $500 Lighting Kit for $122

[NextWaveG]

I came up with this inexpensive lighting kit that really works great. Check out my blog posting for more details on how to build one yourself.

Hope this is helpful.

i've been trying to find light sockets like that, and the only ones i can find on ebay are UK plugs, any links?

Yeah I wouldnt mind having a few of those light sockets in my kit. Please do share your source for these when you get a chance.

They're known as "umbrella adapters" and they're all over Ebay. Here's one:

They're always plastic though so don't try using them with hot lights.

That looks like my interview lighting kit.

This looks solid.
Do you have a screengrab of the endresult ?
Thanks.
