The Nikon D90

[Adam Gonzalez]

I would be a d80 and a good piece of glass before I bought anything new!

The D90 is a great camera, and the best in Nikons entry level offerings... What you are getting is 95% of a D300 for 60% of the price... How can you moan at that?

So I got to hold a D90 and a D300 today side by side. I sighed a little bit when I picked up the D90 and it felt exactly the same as the D80. From the outside its pretty much identical. Then I took the D300 and held down the shutter for 6 frames a second. It got me a little excited. But then I went back to the D90 and just had to keep telling myself that it has pretty much the same image processor and shoots HD video for $650 bucks less. I think the D300 is great....but not for the price difference. I see myself happy with the D90 and waiting a few years before full frame cameras are cheaper.

The D-90 now has a complete section of its own in the 'Other Camera' section. Check it out and perhaps start some threads!
