3d Animated logo opinions

Looks good overall PK.

What's the planned use? ..It's a little long for just a generic bumper logo.
I felt like once all the screens had filled in (and where flashing) that is was waiting for something else to happen. I think fading it short at about :18~:20 would make it feel "tighter".

Also, not sure about the "reflection" of the glow underneath. Looks a litttle strange.

i like it! i wish i knew how to do that... i need something similar. i do have after effects tho, i should really start playing around with it!

i think it's nice and simple and professional looking.

I like it, but agree with Mikko that it needs to be shorter. I would even take it down about 10-12 seconds.

Thanks! :)

Hey mikko!! What have you been up to?

It will most likely be used as a bumper logo and intro to our project videos. I'll work on the light reflection. (It bothers me too.)

The actual logo animation ends when the music peaks and images flash (:15). I just let it roll so there'd be some extra fill at the end. I should have mentioned that.

Mikko, where the hell have you been, buddy? People seem to have gone missing as of late, good to see you around.

PK, I agree completely with Mikko. I like it, the only criticism I had was that it was a bit too long.

Great job PK, I like the look of it and the Idea of the back videowall.

The only things I would change is the duration, maybe speed it up a bit. And I would make the Isara logo a bit bigger than the videowall.

Anyway, 3D logos always add profesionalism to videos and this one certainly does.

I agree about the duration, but it's not toooooo long.

Otherwise I agree with Anhar about making the guy more dimensional. Also maybe have "Isara" in 3d as well at first, then flatten it all together as you add the final video clip.

I like how it becomes monochromatic at the end.

Mikko, have you made sure your calendar is clear for NAB? We missed you last year. Or, will you avoid attending such crude social gatherings now that you have a sheepskin?

Thanks for the input everyone. :)

I'll speed it up and see what the blue guy will look like in 3d.

What do you all think about the music?

As others have said, trim it down to about 15 seconds, just after the last picture is in place and you have a second to pause, then fade.

NAB '08 this year was the very next week after I got back to the US after 9 months away from my girl. 'nuff said.

I will almost certainly be attending NAB '09 :)

I thought I'd have a go at the blue guy in 3d;

you can have the model if you want.

Anhar,

Thanks, Anhar. You're quick!!!

As long as the 3d doesn't change the shape of the logo then I'm up for it. I use to do a lot of design work for Microsoft and they taught me about creating a brand and following strict brand guidelines. Having rounded edges changes the shape of our logo but maybe if we just extruded the logo so that it had some depth, but kept the logos exact shape (when looked head on) then maybe that would work.

What software do you use?

Oh, fine, respond to his comment but not mine. Who was the one who chatted with you while you were stranded at LAX in the wee hours of the morning? Huh? Huh Mikko? It was ME! But I guess that doesn't matter anymore...

It should be the exact same shape, I used your logo as a reference and "traced" the shapes, so yes head on it should look the same.

Used Max.

Thanks guys.

EDIT:

Mikko, good to see you back!!
