The end of 35mm adapers and hv20s....

Venom? Please, being up front and honest about my opinions is venom? This is supposed to be a democracy were we are entitled to speak and talk about something we feel strong about. If people can't handle the thruth it is a sad commentary on them. I guess the best thing would have been to say: Oh the footage so far is looking pretty good. A tad shaky but good.
If you can't handle criticism then indeed don't post the footage.

oooookay, how about "insults" instead of "venom". is that clearer? you want to critique the camera? fine, no problem, man. but if you want to take cheap shots at me, kholi and the others, be prepared to have it come right back at you and for the rest of this forum to pile on..... in the spirit of "community" of course. :)

"don't post footage"? you got it.

earlier i mentioned being in still mode and setting iso and what not then going to live, have you tried to take a picture in still mode, maybe saving the settings then going to live mode and recording?

Zak, please, my words were strong perhaps, but in total frustration at not having the camera in front of me to work with myself what I wanted to strongly emphasize was to just put the camera on a tripod so the image would not shake like I don't know what then once that was done we could have looked at other things. That was the basis of my argument. And this is the last word.

Car, I've been messing around with something like your fan idea on with a TV screen comparing it to a DVX. I think I might try a fan too.

Also you asked about turning it sideways, this does get rid of the rolling shutter if you pan but it still warps if you tilt it up and down.

And thats the final word for tonight folks. I'd like to thank our special guests for providing wonderful content, and our sponsors Nikon and Vimeo. Tune in next week for more exciting crap that you didn't want to find out! This is Hunter Richard's signing off...

Have a good night everybody!

While keeping the camera in normal orientation, you should notice some vertical smear with fast tilts.

No? I'd be very surprised because I recall seeing it in clips.
