Do I get a check for starting the thread?
I tested out some high iso footage tonight and the compression in the clip looks awful. Not even going to post it.
I've been taking stills (they look great), and I'll try to post some video tomorrow.
Drew,
Does your ISO actually work with the footage? Honestly, I don't think ISO works. And, I say this because actually changing the ISO hasn't done anything for me at all.
Interesting. I thought it did, but maybe not. I set to 3200 and then turned on LV. The image was well exposed (so I assumed it had worked), but really muddy and soft when I watched on the computer. I was following somebody walking while going handheld, so that could have had something to do with it. Tomorrow I'm going to maybe shoot some people closeups from a tripod and see how the detail is in that.
laugh, well i was expecting to see michael j fox camera work. resolution looked good, but i have a 20inch lcd...don't know what you would compare it to. skew, if you don't look for it, it's not there... can't get a good enough example of dynamic range from the clips i've seen so far
laugh, i wasn't even going to mention the bokeh, because with a dslr, bokeh is completely moo
