I have not read Adam's 12 pages... I haven't seen the trailer... but we should all be thankful that a guy posted so much information on his project to us... he posted things that in my opinion should have been kept secret... like how much he made the movie for...

But having worked on films as a producer that have sold... his film will sell and I'm sure he'll make a profit... I don't know how much and I really don't care how much he makes... and I'm not saying that to be mean... what I'm saying is he made a film... will sell it... is getting a second chance at making another film... and I'm sure with his drive and effort he'll sell that one... Adam or the rest of us are not going to win the lottery on the first movie we sell... we may never win the lottery... but we might end up doing something that we enjoy doing and something that we can make a good living off of for the rest of our lives...

What we like and what gets sold and made a lot of times has nothing to do with our tastes it has to do with the market and Adam made a film that will sell at the market... heck I'd love to be making westerns but the market isn't really there any more... so until we get to the studio level we have to make films that'll sell... sorry not art house films...

The criticism is constructive and is the only thing it can actually help him. The whole praise chorus is useless, maybe for moral support. Desperate? I didn’t said that, but yes, Sizemore eats, shi*s and needs work like everybody else.

djinjis - Very thoughtful of you to be so concerned, now I understand your intentions, you are just trying to help...RIGHT!?!?!

Very noble of you indeed.

BTW what Country are you from seeing as you don`t really speak, = "Hanglish" like Scagnetti Ha ha ...

Dogday.

on djinjis

on djinjis

Let the guy have his opinion.
A little too late to criticize the script. It already got made. He said he stayed as close to it as possible when shooting, but some changes were made. The actors and camerawork add to it, so it can not be judged as what Corrado is, but what it used to be when it was on paper.
djinjis, your right about praising too much for moral support and not enough constructive criticism, but right now we are just audience of a carefully planned experiment. Sit back and enjoy watching it come to fruition.

Transilvania.

What can I tell you, DogDay? You're
right. When you're right, you're
right, and you're right.

it's not too late for the poster. grow up? never.

djinis -

Welcome Transilvania!

Lets be friends all of us and support each other with Constructive ( Encouraging ) Criticism ... Agreed?

Dogday.

Not all constructive criticism is helpful and not all praise is useless. I can't speak for Adam, but unless you give him new and useful information, none of it is very important. Adam has already written that he prefers constructive criticism, but unless you can tell him, for example, how to move a Vegas edit through the Post House or where he can get posters printed, it doesn't really matter.

To be fair to djinjis, he didn't just criticize the poster, but offered an alternative. Problem is, of course, Adam likes his poster. Criticism, at this point, is no more useful than praise. The only issue I have with djinjis' statements are that he considers this his "private opinion". There is nothing private on a worldwide thread like this one. Opinions posted on this board are designed for public discourse and consumption. Whatever Adam's intentions are on this thread, he has invited any and all to the discussion.

Wow - I missed like two pages of this overnight. Very interesting.

Firstly, I've come to accept some people won't like the story, script, actors, or cinematography, or even all of the above. And I'm not labeling them as haters, losers, or morons either. Djinjis was simply rendering an opinion, and that's his right.

Whether he should be able to render it over and over again on the thread is another topic, but I'll leave that one alone for now.

At some point your work needs to stand on it's own and defend itself...I will not always be there to fight for it. In this case the script did stand on it's own, garnering a bunch of good opinions and some bad ones as well.

Recall from the beginning of this thread I stated that Corrado was a "good solid script" It's not Oscar material. In a sea of garbage, it floated to the top, got me an agent, and got actors attached to my film, which is all you can really ask of a script....no?

I'm not personally hurt by criticism at all. If you didn't like it, oh well. What can I do. If I could please everyone I'd be the richest man on earth.

I'm tempted to ask the people who didn't like the script to show me their great body of work....their movies in production.....but that's just juvenile.

My Kid Corrado is off to elementary school now and must fight his own battles when papa is not around to defend him.

so anyway adam, when do you think you'll be done with post production being that you're audio guy is having those challenges from the Vegas transfer?

do you think you're film will be available to purchase by end of the year?

i'm ready to buy the dvd so i can see how well the HVX shined :)

Hahahahahahahaha.

Adam, if you could have done it again, would you have done it in FCP? How about for the camera? would you still have done it on the 200?

All this latest delay represents is about 10 days as Brandon said. So yeah, end of year for sure!

I would have had SOMEONE do it in FCP as I can't use it myself. Yes, still the 200, but not for movie #2.

RED is cool, but with our schedule we didn't have time to screw with any camera delays. Prodigi has a much more relaxed schedule - 6 weeks, and has plenty of time to use a RED, which is clearly the better camera.
