Sketch Comedy Shot on HVX

Suggestion (apart from attending scriptwriting and directing school)

"L" Cuts or "J" Cuts

Sorry... it sux IMHO

I was expecting to hate it, but I laughed out loud alone.

You don't need school, you need to make more sketches.

My only "little" thing was the Aids, and the A** Wipe. Know that I am a South Park fan, and do not get offended by anything (including any Jew jokes, and I AM a Jew). I just felt that it kinda pulled me away from it and made me wonder about who was writing it. You know? The first 40 seconds or so were very "real"--the ending was good, though... Just my opinion.

Good work, keep at it. BTW, if it means anything, I hate 98.6% of everything I see by indies.

You're lucky you're doing comedies with the HVX. I'm doing low light, moody, experimental crap, and the macroblocking in the camera has given me the worst neurosis. I've lost sleep, time at my shink's office talking about cameras...Oy

Thought it was lame and uncreative until that chicks delivery of "I'd rather you didn't." The scene should have been blocked differently, maybe had them walking to add something interesting instead of just standing in profile saying one liners. I don't know if you're going for some artist thing about the relationships isolation with the single shots in profile and straight cuts but it's distancing the viewer. But again the few shots at the end were good and sort of saved it.
