Cinebags HVX200 Backpack now shipping

This bag is perfect! I already got a Cinetactics Matteblox which will fold down and fit in there. I just wish I could add that code online in order to pay with pay pal. Too bad it can't carry a laptop as well. I'd like to bring it and the pelican 1550 case with me on the place to Vietnam. That way I'll have all my expensive gear on me at all times.

i use the production bag but the old very big one (that you cant get anymore) cause i have rails and mattebox and all that fun stuff that i like not needing to dissasemble. apart from the big one, i have 2 of the new smaller production bags that will fit the hvx without rods etc, but i use those for other support stuff like filters etc.

The thing about backpacks is that if you ever need to travel, like airports etc, they kick ass. the prodution bags get heavy real quick and you always need a cart. Plus you dont need to check it in.

so for studio stuff.. i would choose a production bag.

for location stuff or for travelling, or hiking or anything where you gotta carry your camera for more than 50 feet from the car, i woudl choose backpack.

I am in the exact same situation - have the large original bag from 2004, and never dissasemble my rods and 4x4 mattebox.
I didn't know the new production bags are smaller now? that is a shame... I love the big production bag.

yeah i think alot of people complained that the bags where too big and once loaded they couldnt life them ha ha ha.. but yeah i wish the big ones were still around as well.

That bag looks great. I had to buy a tamrac expedition bag because it was all I could find here in montreal. But it's too big for my emediate needs. I'm thinking of ordering the cinnebag. One question I have for you (Jarred) has to do with where the hvx is placed in the bag. I see in the pictures that it is not centered, but sitting on the right half of the caseing. Does this feel unbalanced when it's on your back? Or is it really not a problem? That's the only reservation I have right now. Also, could the compartments be moved around to center the camera? And last thing not quite cinnebag related, but I noticed you have your' hvx lens up, viewer down. I've been putting my camera lens down because I thought it could be too much weight to be pushing on the viewer. Is there a reason why you placed you cam lens up? Can you enlighten me with your' experience? Thanks

The interior of the bag can be setup to carry the camera on either side or in the center. if you have any accesories, extra batterires...etc. then placing it on one side and the accesories on the other really balances it all out. If not then move the supports to carry the camera in the center.
