Hey everybody!
So as some of you know (either on here or over at hv20.com), I've been putting together my rig over the past couple months, and the issue of rails came up. I needed long rails so I could attach hand-grips and a shoulder pad, and still have room for all the other stuff. But at $140 plus shipping for the Cinevate rails, it was hitting my budget a little hard.
ANYHOO, I was fortunate enough come across a deal to buy a lot of 6 stainless steel rods for around $110 plus shipping from a machining company. Divided by 3, that's around $35 or so a pair (plus shipping). Woot.
SO, I obviously don't need 3 pairs, so I'm looking to see if anyone on these boards are in the same predicament that I was, and are interested in the remaining two pairs.
I have four rods, their lengths being: 23.5 in, 25 in, 25.125 in, 25.25 in.
None of the 6 were exactly the same length, so the ones that I'm using are off by about an inch as well, but with all the stuff on them, it's really not noticeable.
They're solid too, so they're heavier than carbon fiber or hollow, obviously. But they're exactly 15mm, fit my equipment nicely, and are perfectly straight.
Someone else already has dibs on one of the pairs, but if that falls through, it's up for grabs~
SO TO REVIEW:
Item - (2) Stainless Steel 15mm Rods (23 in ~ 25.25 in)
Cost - $35 + Shipping
*Shipping should push no more than $10 bucks... depending on where you live, haha.
Thanks everyone!
Bluh, I don't know what's going on with the image uploader thing. Anyway, here's a link!
