Okay,

I am posting this scene exclusively on this forum for the next couple weeks.

There are no outside links or buttons on the website.

This scene is one of the one's I'll be testing on the big screen in Downtown Disney (getting pretty progressive aren't they!) as promised in thread http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=143163

This scene is shot on EX1 - stock lens, a bit of light. Edit in Premiere on Mac, processed with After FX and Photoshop. Sound is temp - I have done no real work on sound, mix, or music.

It's mainly up to show off the acting, writing, and filmmaking. This is fairly representative of what the movie will look like, though this is a 'dialog' scene without action. I have seen even cleaner footage from these cameras - even in my film, but this is pretty much the look I was going for. It's a fairly large flash file 26MB to keep the quality up a bit. I guess it turns out to be fairly representative of some of the language and violence as well... well... there goes the G rating! Only 50 or so curse words in 3 minutes...

for more info please visit the above thread or KERBEROS website itself -

This is Stan Harrington, Ted Huckabee, and Haji Golightly. I think you can see why I wanted the words I've written to come out these actor's mouths... and why I would fly Stan in from LA to play the part!

Really surprised that you'd be able to screen that scene at Disney. Maybe flabbergasted is a better word for it.

what the $%&@?

what the $%&@?

LOL -

Hey man,

I live in ATL - I knew what you meant...

No bleep outs... most fests get away with a lot of controversial subject matter - art is subjective and all that - and truthfully - even though I am sure we'll top out with maybe 2 or 300 curse words, and a LOT of violence - the movie, just like that scene is really more intense than violent. At least that's what I'm going for... and I admit, like in everything, I may be screwing up.

Like when I was trying to explain to my mom - "yeah, you know Kerberos, the cute little fluffy dog that guided people into the after life - it's kind of a happy, spiritual theme in this movie..."

Oh well, not making movies for my mom!

Okay, just don't be surprised if Mickey Mouse flips you off and Goofy raises his leg over your hors d'oeuvres! :Þ

Thanks so much.

I chose this scene because I think it whether it offends someone or not with the language, the acting and words and the delivery mechanism of the scenes dynamics are compelling.

This is my idea of an exposition scene - a lot of information integral to the overall story is being delivered.

The filming and editing could of been much simpler and/or done in countless diffrent ways, and yet when people watch the scene, there is in it elements that uniquely express my developing style - of composition, of striving for performance, of pushing buttons, of pace, of emotional content.

And ultimately, it's three guys in an empty room, a couple plug in lights, and a plastic gun. Not a really expensive scene!

I have a couple more 'in your face scenes' I'll try to get up in the next day or so - one to help demonstrate the look of close in camera work possible with the EX1, and another that I'll include with no sound to help illustrate why I chose this camera and how I am using it to tell my story.

luck to all

F$%@ing Cool

F$%@ing Cool

Thanks man.

It will have to go down as a classsic quote in the future - "I told what the f#@$ is f#@$, so f#@$ the f#@$ - off if you don't believe me!"

A long way to go to make a movie but moment by moment - scene by scene...
