"Dropping" photos and the likes...

So I'm creating a video where there are a lot of photos involved in little time. I'm tired of still photos, and I'm tired of Ken Burns-ing photos. I want something else and non-boring. I'm thinking it would be neat to have a few photos drop, like you were piling them up a few feet below a camera.

Or maybe a way to show a lot of photos at once, with a few changing here and there ... just SOMETHING! I'm going crazy. Ideas? What have you guys done?

PS~~> FCS only. No after effects allowed. I don't have that here at work.

I guess I could try it. I've never opened motion, because I used AE when I was using Premiere ... Premeire ... the other adobe product. So when i switched to FC, I stayed with AE. I'll give it a go. I hadn't thought of that. I hope there isn't TOO much of a learning difference.

Oh, and I forgot to say ... I have 10 pictures I have to show in 7 seconds. Yep. 21 frames each, it looks like.

motion isn't hard, it's just a completely different layout than adobe products so it's really just a matter of knowing what you're looking at. i use AE and Motion. for what you're trying to do motion should be more than enough if you don't have access to AE which you already know.
