My EX3 Shipped

Received it at work and took a quick look. Package is definitely not as tight and snug as the ex-1. Not sure why, but might be that there are the first production models off the line.

Everything is in perfect working order so far, but the thing is wide. Had no idea how different it would be from the ex-1, but this thing is massive. Definitely need to get a new case. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. B&H suggests the PDRB-4, so I might try that one out. I have the PDRB-3 and it is way to small width wise.

The form factor is still a little heavy, but a definite improvement over the original and the new visor is just amazing. The picture is super clean and absolutely enormous.

I'll post more thoughts later, but that's a quick preview of what I've seen so far. I also ordered the PHU-60K drive, which should be here by next Thurs. Later folks.

I ordered the Porta Brace DVO-3-QS-M4 for my EX3. It has interior dimensions of 18.5 x 12 x 9.5" (LxWxH) whereas the camera is listed at 15.8 x 9.9 x 8.3", so it should be snug but adequate. My order hasn't shipped yet so I won't have any first-hand experience until next week at the earliest.
 
Did they give you an estimate on when they'd get them in stock? Or is their "Out of Stock" icon not correct?
