What is the best way to do time lapse of story clouds with the dvx100b?

Is there a way to get free stock footage of such material and where?

Adobe Onlocation does timelapse as well - you'll need a PC or cheap notebook

Failing that, throw in a tape, record for an hour and speed it up a few thousand percent in your NLE, you only get to do a short timelapse, but you won't need anything else!

Use the SLow Shutter feature for smoother motion. Do you have Barry's DVX book? It has a list of shutter speeds vs. % to speed it up.

I second Animator DV+. It's freeware.
I did a short timelapse with a DVX100A and hooked it up
to my laptop and ran Animator DV+. It's simple to use.

Very cool and wow freeware. Although my laptop sucks . do you know if you can hook up a DSLR too?

I'm not sure if it works with a DSLR, but usually those cameras come with it's own software which allows for timelapse shooting.
