Chrosziel Hand Grips

Where can I find these? I just used them on a gig and they are nothing short of amazing. Light, well built, and requires a babies grip to tighten it. I was using them on 15mm rods with a 30lb camera. I've looked all over the net and can't seem to find anyone who sells these. My rental house bought them from a company that's out of business. Any leads out there?

Tim,
16 x 9, inc. is the exclusive US reseller of Chrosziel products. You can buy them from them! Here's a link to the product page

Anyone know how much they run for? My thumbs are always sore from my cavision hand grips. I usually have to have someone else tighten the left hand grip. It is annoying.

Be interesting to see what the chrosziel's run in comparison to zacuto's.

They work. They arent bad. They arent great. They get the job done for less than $140. Theres a little play on them, even when tightened with superforce-tigerstyle strength. They've never slipped on me though. I've held my entire 35mm adapter rig over my head supporting from both hand grips and it was all good.

For the money, its a good purchase. I'm just to the point where a few hundred more would be worth it for more solid and ergonomically superior grips. Quick release ability like the z-grip is also a feature that interests me. Though its really a luxury im entertaining, not a necessity.

i'm leaning towards the Redrock shoulder support myself.... cavisions shoulder pad especially seems a little too cheaply made for my liking.

I'd love to know the price too, and see more pics of these babies.

I just tested out the prototype handheld rig from element technica and was pretty damn impressed.

I would like to see Redrock sell only the Hand Grips too. and would like to know if they are build solid ....

....any reviews from shoulder support owners?

The handgrips that redrock use are a standard jetski item, someone on the redrock forum posted a link to exactly the same ones, same colour, same surface grip texture, same everything and they were $14 a pair (roughly). They are usualy used on jetski handlebars.

It seems that all redrock do to them is stick a 15mm rod clamp at the end...

Have a look on the redrock forum, the link is probably still there....

very interesting....

Do you remember where the Forum was?
I was looking but I couldn't find it.....
is it under the MicroShoulerMount forum? ?

I emailed 16x9 about a price on Chrosziel and have yet to hear back. I'm sure they're up there with Zacuto. After all it is Chrosziel. I'd love to see someone come up with a great DIY solution. I'm using the Cavision grips and they don't let me sleep at night. They can slip and require brute strength to tighten. In short the hardware is cheap Chinese crap.

I'm tempted to spring for the Zacuto but holding out to find out about Chros. Will not deal with RR anymore after the Mattebox fiasco. Need a shipping date I can rely on. Also, I don't like the design as it has no vertical adjust. For a shot here and there it's okay. But for all day use, I need to have my hands lower to prevent excessive fatigue.

As much as I hate to shell out cash, I have yet to see anything that surpasses the Z grips. And they know it.

It's actually made to slide into an arri dovetail but there are holes in the unit I saw to screw into a camera. You could probably screw it unto a general rod mount if you needed.
There are two different foam inserts to choose from, two different types of handles, these and some telescoping ones, two different grips, and the should part is adjustable so it can fit your shoulder and the camera still be centered with the horizon. width can be adjusted by changing out the rod for the arms. The arm adjustments are using rosettes so they lock tight, and those are not the final knobs.
I got pretty damn excited when I saw it last weekend.
