Selling Panasonic Gear

Hi. As of 15 July 2008, we are intending to sell off all our Panasonic gear. There is nothing wrong with it, this was a corporate decision. All cameras were purchased new by us and have the original boxes and all items that came with them (other than the HVX200 which no longer has the 8Gb card but now has a 16Gb P2 card and updated software.) For sale will be:

  • HVX200A - maybe 10 to 12 hours (still under warranty just purchased in May)
  • HVX200 - low hours; just started using in summer last year and p2 card software updated
  • DVX100B - medium hours
  • DVX100B - low to average hours

We will announce the sale offering here 5 to 10 days placing them on ebay and will have a URL with the equipment detail and pictures. We will be able to take credit cards or money orders and cashiers checks with a three day hold for confirmation. We will also deliver to anyone within a ~100 mile radius of Pittsburgh with a deposit first and the remaining balance in cash (we did this on all the audio gear).

Why are we selling? There has been a business profile and philosophy change including every aspect of our multimedia business. To this end we are changing lighting, film gear, and audio gear, and have progressively selling off gads of gear including both of our remaining 35mm Arri film cameras, magazines, and support systems. Items that maybe be of interest to this group are: a Lowell 1K soft bank in a box light; dual 2k Arri light kit (two lights in one box); gads of filters in a three layer shoulder box (would like to sell as a set for convenience making it a better buy also); and two editing computers one of which is barely a year old that is dual xeon 3.0 GHz, 1667 FSB dual core hyperthreaded, with 1.2 Tb RAID 4x300 Gb and 600 Gb RAID 2x300 with ATI Radeon XTX1950XR with 512Mb dedicated and crossfire capable, plus dual dual layer DVD burners and gads more in a Large Rack Mount and 4 to 8 powerful fans PLUS an HP XW8000 with Nivida FX2000 video card. There are other smaller items too as the company resizes it's operation to only two streamlined editing work stations with multiple editors on board external duplication.

For more information before the offical offering or to find out pre-sale pricing just PM me or ask here. Again there is nothing wrong with any of the gear just totally changing the profile of the business operation and reducing a lot of mismatches in our present profile PLUS exiting 16 and 35 mm film totally.

'Tis not allowed to post eBay auction links. :)

No problem we won't post the ebay links, just informing folks that if they are interested in purchasing before it goes to ebay thats all. Thanks for the info and insight. Hadn't actually thought about that though and glad you mentioned it.

EDIT: BTW, will I be able to post a link to pictures with our own URL that's on our website.

Finally got around to the pricing of the current available offerings as of 23 July 2008 following local sales of two HVX's and two DVX's. Thus remaining are:

HVX200P - Comes with everything that came with it new in December 2006 including the original box. That is, all the cables, manuals, battery, etc. plus a 16Gb P2 card (not an 8Gb that it came with). Also the firmware in the camera has been updated from Panasonic's process to enable the use of the 16Gb and 32Gb cards. Specs are: Hour Meter 00117 and Operation 00146. Serial JGTC00813R (not sure what the R is but it was way to the right because this was NOT a refurbished camera from B&H) Price $3450 OBO

HVX200AP - Comes with everything that came with it new in May 2008 including the original box. That is, all the cables, manuals, battery, etc. plus the original 16Gb P2 card. Specs are: Hour Meter 00017 and Operation 00014. Serial JGTC00813R (not sure what the R is but it was way to the right because this was NOT a refurbished camera from B&H) Price $4600 OBO

Both cameras are like new (one is practically new) and have hardly been used in this second indoor studio unit and will be sold "as is" unless Panasonic will transfer the warranty on the "A" camera. Payments will be taken in the form of PayPal, Cashiers Check, or Money Order, with $30 additional charge for packaging, shipping, and insurance. Item will be amply packed and shipped via UPS ground unless the buyer wishes to pay any additional charges for speical rush shipping. If the cameras are not sold they will be placed on Ebay sometime next week.

If you have any questions, just ask via here, PM, or direct email that is enabled in my profile.

Happy shootin' :o)

We will have the remainder of the items listed shortly. Sorry for the delay but we had two rush commercial productions enter the stage.

Well, im a bit unsure myself to be honest, I've been on his back for maby a week or so, before he even announced the prices, and it seems like they company he works for is doing alot of work in the same time as they are trying to sell this gear (Iam NOT confirming he isnt a scammer, but this is how I understood it).

I guess he has about 20 PM's and 20 Emails now to reply to aswel.

Yes the deal is real. We just got swamped with work toward the last of the week and had a wedding to shoot and a TV show later today. Back on the "inside job" tomorrow Monday and our appologies for the delay.

Since we delivered the HVX200 Friday, at the point we only have the HVX200A left and making the final decision on Tuesday about the two (2) DVX100B's. While there are several considering this remaining HVX there have been no deposits or payment on the camera and thus as we always do, it's a first come first served basis.

We accept payment by Credit Card via PayPal and you do not have to have a PayPal account to use our PayPal check out; or Cashiers Check or Money Order. The only delay in shipping (if any) will be based upon the clearance of the payment method funds. Also, in the latter two cases (Cashiers Check or Money Order) a $500 deposit is required via PayPal to hold the camera while the funds are being sent/transferred.

Any questions just let us know. Moreover, this week we will post in addition to the decision on the DVX100B's the "other" items previously discussed.

Thanks to all for their continued interest.
