My first HVX200a footage

Hello everyone! I have been reading these boards for quite a long time but im not so much of a poster. However, I finally got my brand spankin new HVX200a last week and I took it out for a test spin at a local skate park. I know the footage/editing is a little rough and the continuity between my shots (white balance etc) is not very good but I just wanted to share this with you guys. Also, dont mind the Andrew Cramer AE tutorial title at the beginning.. I was in a time pinch and wanted somethin snazzy looking to show my family. Cheers and let me know what you think!:)

hey

hey

hey man, looking good. I would recommend for the best possible outcome of your HD footage on vimeo, to compress it with Adobe Media Encoder, similar to this. It makes it looks sweet online, as well as YouTube, etc.

Make sure the multiplexer is set to "PSP" as well, and then the audio can be whatever. Dont know if you already knew this, but just throwing it out there since it took me a bit to find out the best way to display my test footage online.

My account if you wanted to see what the footage rendered at those settings turns out like online. Or search "Northwest Trip Part 2" on vimeo, and you can see one of my better edits.

Enjoy the HVX man, its soooo nice when you first get it, I loved the feeling, and I'm sure you're having a blast. Enjoyed the BMX footage as well, keep it coming.

No problem man, glad to help. Make sure to post some more of your footage when you get a chance.

(Also beware of the constant bitrates at the bottom, (CBR), because vimeo only lets you do 500mb a week, so tweak it as close to 500mb as you can to get the best compression.)
