Panasonic BT-LH1700W monitor!!!

Hello

I want to buy Panasonic BT-LH1700W monitor , any one have any experience with HVX ? also I wonder why price it in UK 1900 pound ( = 4000 USD ) and when I see in B&H I found it 2500 USD !!! is there any different model between US and UK ?

I bought my Panasonic LH-1700 in US and use it here in Norway. I´ve been using it without any hick ups with my HVX-200 since 2006. I´m quite pleased with it. During shooting it´s really a valuable tool. You should be able to purchase it at B&H like I did.
Be aware that it the monitor uses a fan to deal with heat. The fan can be shut off during shooting, but during a long editing session you`ll probably find the fan noise annoying.
The new LH-1760 has no fan, due to the fact that it requires less power than the older LH-1700. Good luck with your purchase.

I have one and its is a fabulous monitor. Built in waveform is brilliant.

I wanted to add a caution to anyone using these monitors.

NEVER leave any adaptor/connectors on the Video Outs (RGB). This monitor has "Auto Termination" (ie non switched termination).

Worth a little test to show your self what it does.

I've had one for years - great monitor. If you do get one, then get a nebtek mount for it, it's by far the best mount I've ever used. see it here:

Have really enjoyed the use of mine--got the panasonic (thermodyne) case as well.

Regarding a monitor stand, not near as nice as the one above but I've been using this: http://www.markertek.com/SearchProd...od&skuonly=0&search=monitor+stand&pagesize=20 and it's well worth the $90 I spent for it.
