demo reel critique

I had a few people asking for a reel. I threw this together with what I have, Give it to me straight. I didnt have time to do any good graphics or anything to give it some more depth. Its just a basic cut of some of the different types of videos I have done. Mostly DVX100a, some 16mm, a horrible pdx, and the skateboard promo piece what shot by someone else with i think a vx2100 and I just helped edit. Everything else I shot and edited. Thanks and i appreciate any feedback you guys can give me. There are some incredibly talented people on here and I would love any advice that would help me grow as a filmmaker.

Thanks a lot Shaun. I really liked your golf footage from the other day. I thought it was an adapter until your comment.

Some nice stuff.

One of the last shots of the dancers where they're passing papers around- looked too dark, I'd take that out.
Also, I think you need to focus on the overall arc. Right now it's more of a series of nice shots at random that start and end. You could book-end it with your best stuff, so it's more like a journey. Build and release the tension some more.

Good work.

I think you should consider changing the music.
I felt that it didn't really go with the images.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I agree with the song. When I eventually take the time to really focus on the reel, I think I am going to go with just an instrumental. yeehaanow, your right on the random shots. I pretty much just wanted to show a few little shots from a few different pieces and I didnt really tie it together. Thanks again and I would love to hear what others think.
