Best Panasonic retailer in Vienna, Austria or Germany?

I am looking for the best package for the HVX200A while staying and working in Vienna for a couple of months. Today my German speaking partner called Panasonic in Germany and customer service referred us to a local detailer who will let us know who is authorized to represent professional Panasonic products in Vienna. Don't have that name and address yet, though.

The camera I want to buy I am taking back to Mexico to shoot an indie. I know that my only choice over here is PAL. In fact, I am editing in Final Cut a video I shot in Munich, Germany on the DVX 200A with P2 cards. So far the log and transfer has gone just fine from a Toshiba flash drive that we downloaded the .MXF files from the P2 to. This is my first experience with the DVX 200A.

Online websites here show deals on such things as HVX 201AE, etc. --I know that there is a 200A upgraded version, and I know that the PAL version will be reflected in a different naming scheme, but what are the LEGITIMATE versions as far as names being sold in the EU?

And if I am going back and forth from Mexico to Austria or Germany during post production does the PAL thing affect my workflow? Apparently the PAL version sold and used here does not offer as many frame rates.

And there is a 25 frame rate but not the film standard 24 on the PAL version.

Adding to my confusion regarding buying is the new HPX-170 which I read will not be available until Fall.

Any recommendations from your European members on good online represented Panasonic re-sellers?

And, know of any sites that are bundling packages especially configured for independent film makers?

gracias a todos!

I will get back to this shortly.

All I can say now is:

I've asked around and it doesn't seem very likely that the hvx200's will drop alot in price due to the HPX170 release..

Regarding the PAL/NTSC thing they are slightly different, but the only thing that you probably won't be able to do is to connect the hvx200 into a TV, you have to read up yourself on PAL/NTSC (I have to do that aswel so..)

As I said, I'll get back with more shortly!
