does your 'avatar' effect people opinions?

Sometimes I get told I look this this guy:

That's what I thinking from your Avatar, totally Charlie Sheen.

It also looks like Les Stroud (aka Survivor Man)

Tommy, you are insane; KiKi, I am only trying to motivate you. If everyone votes FOR you then you will slack off and not prepare enough. I only have your best interest at heart.

I know man, just playing around. I actually agree wih you. I'm glad people are going against. Motivates you more. So thank you. :)

..still not getting that card.

I'm enoying this thread, nice to see what people think they look like judging from Avatars. Fortunatly I'm quite well hidden in mine.

one guy couldnt even tell i was in my avatar.. it'll be funny if he reads this.. he asked me what that black thing was attached to my camera, wondering if it was some sort of whip. i then asked ' you mean my hair? ' and he was shocked to find out i was in the picture.. ha ha

Actually my girlfriend still insists that I don't look like orlando bloom. I would believe her, but it happens too often that others point it out.

that's funny. people say i look sort of like jared from the subway commercials...before the weight loss.

if i did lose like 400 pounds, i would probably be mistaken for present day jared look-alike, msconce.

I am far too ugly to make an avatar based on myself. Rather I go minimalist. I get enough crap for my name.

Here's my most recent picture of Mattykins. He's has some dental work done since then.

Gage speaks the truth. That was me a few years back. Since my face looks much better. My six pack - which you can't see in that picture is no longer however....

I feel a little disappointed with myself for not realizing that was a 12 year old girl instead of a semi-hot chick... now that I look closer... well... *ahem*... thanks for correcting my "would I?... wouldn't I?" glances at your avatar.
I knew what it was but totally forgot where it was from. As for my avatar, it's just me doing a kick so there's only so much one can gather from it.

It looks like you can defend yourself.

My avatar is a beautiful painting entitled "Room in New York" by my favorite artist Edward Hopper. Cool.

Ah, that happens alot. Right after they said this, the girls throw a slip or a bra at me. :D j/k... obviously :(

Seems to be a natural female reflex.

....that bra is still hanging on my monitor

@ Daryl - yeah Hopper is the man.
One day I make a film with that special kind of framing, flavour and atmosphere.

I have had a few people PM me, thinking i was the girl in my avatar. Changed it to something else for awhile there, but then she came back but with an updated picture. But this thread gives me the premise to say - No, I am not an attractive Japanese woman.
