How can you tell what clips are being used in FCP timeline?

I just moved from Premiere Pro CS3 to FCP.

I am used to looking in the PP CS3 project window and seeing a column for "video usage". Is there an equivalent in FCP? How can you tell which clips are already in use on the timeline?

the only thing i can think of is that when you delete a clip in the browser that is being used in a sequence a warning pops up telling you that it is a master clip, and deleting the clip from the browser will break the affiliation between it and the clip that is in the timeline.

is it possible to write a script or plugin for FCP that would give this info? How practical is that?

I change the label color - but it also changes the look on the timeline of the clip and harder to see. I wish there was another way, but I have not found yet!

adobe has a little indicator telling how many times the clip has been used. or atleast it did, it was version 6 of premiere the last time i touched it. i wish fcp did this, it could be incorporated into your bin columns easily.
