What's your name mean?

ha ha jason adams.. that's a good one.

mine came from the nickname Scratch Patch, which I got from my friend Ashley when i was trying to think of a good nickname for msn messenger. at the time, i had just been badly attacked by my cat (long story) hence the scratch part, and i was on the nicotine patch.

And such is the story of Scratch Patch Films. surpisingly it has nothing to do with itchy vaginas. hahahahahah.

Mattykins...

Name is Matt. Most of my girlfriends call me Matty, ones that I am close with. I was called Mattykins as a joke right around the time I joined here. I tried for Matty but it was taken. So it became Mattykins based on a joke.

And, it still remains the same to this day. If Matty is available, I would have taken that. Haha

Champloo is a reference to the Okinawan stir-fry dish called chanpuru which combines various ingredients like meat, tofu, and eggs. Chanpuru basically translates to "mixture of styles" or "mixture of flavors".

Liked it because although filmaking is my primary interest, it is almost matched by my passion for animation and illustration, hence the mixed styles or flavors.

My last name is Clark and when I was in 5th grade my best friends dad would call me "clarkage" I used it as a login for stuff back then and I still use it today. I even have people call me clarkage all the time! It's just one of those names that stuck.

nickname from my friends from YEARS ago. I'm just too lazy/uncreative to use something else. it's my username on other forums as well, or a variation thereof.

Charli is my name, derived from "Charles" which means - manly. Ha ha, being one of the few girls on a site filled with boys, uh, the name suits me.

Made it up years ago in High School, been using it ever since. A combination of the word green and the name Creech. No one else had it on ICQ back in the day! :)

muonwave - the wave function of the muon bound in the lowest orbit, sort of characterized by the Bohr radius - sort of a physics thing. was also the name of a recording studio I owned/ran. stuck with the name (and i think i've only met one other person that knows what a muon is... it's like - a whole different language or something...)

Cool muonwave, very interesting choice of name! don;t think I'd forget your name in a hurry :D

*as a side note, I'm sure your aware that the Bohr model is not 100% accurate, the eliptical augmentaion by summerfeld model is maybe more accurate for the electron orbit path as opposed to assuming a constrant radius.

Damn I flunked out of A-level Physics,

EDIT2::

Surprised you didn't choose, quarks, leptons, or the one I like, the Higgs Boson (hmm God particle)

yeah - higher math wasn't big with me too much - and it gets funnier the smaller we go. i liked muon because of it's high energy and short life - seemed apropriate somehow to the prog-rock music i write. the Bohr model is interesting, in that it's being shyed away from more and more lately, and newer discoveries in the quantum sciences are moving back to it again (kind of a see-saw there, works for some things - doesn't for others) - by - everyone i'd met, i mean to say the non-tech-musician-folk i'd met. plenty of scientist-types where i'm at know much more about it than i

"Captain Pierce" is actually not a MASH reference, as hard as that has been for some people to believe in the past (I'd have gone for "Colonel Flagg" if it was a MASH reference :D )--it's from Babylon 5, where the first Earth Alliance heavy cruiser seen was commanded by Captain Ellis Pierce (played by the always-good Ron Canada).

Mine came about when I was writing columns for our high school paper and decided I needed a pseudonym.

I figured I needed a "the" name since all the really famous historical figures had them: Alexander the Great, William the Bastard, etc. I stumbled across "callipygous" randomly, which was perfect because it means "having shapely buttocks". That immediately became my word of choice. Now everyone in college knows me through facebook and youtube, so I have random people I don't know yelling out my name whenever I go downtown. Unfortunately nobody can pronounce it correctly so I get a lot of "Dustin the Galapagos!".

As far as the spelling of "Dust'n", I don't really know when or why I changed it from "Dustin".
