Has my DVX100 died?

Half way through filming today my camera image went to hell (see what it looks like here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CiWfdi159m0 ), just happened...one minute everything fine and the next not. Was hoping that Id accidently managed to press a hidden "terriblequality" button but it appears not
Anyone have any ideas...looks pretty terminal, feel like crying...
Cheers!

I hate to say it but what you are seeing is live footage as I am seeing it throught the viewfinder...the tape mech is fine for viewing other tapes (always Panasonic). My guess is that one of the imaging chips has gone...just hoped someone could tell me otherwise.
Thanks for the advice re the reset switch...doesnt work though. Dang.:undecided

I might be wrong, but since the DVX had 3 chips, each for a different color, if you had a CCD issue, then it would only show up in 1 color channel...

Try recording to something like OnLocation and see if you still have the issues.

I am admittedly foundering around in the dark trying to work out whats wrong but, whilst I understand that the DVX is 3CCD, as the problem is "in-camera" (i.e. this is what I see on the flip out screen and the viewer) - rather than upon output - my limited logic is pointing toward an internal board problem...fortunately the cam is still (just) under warranty so I will return but I just didn’t want to waste my time if this was a known and simply treatable issue.

Never had a problem like this with any of the cams I have had over the years. A worry.

Thanks for your help though. Any other prognoses’ gratefully received!
