Two Two Two Nine - 48 Hour Film entry Chicago

Hi, guys....

Just wanted to point you guys toward my 3rd short film.

It was submitted for the 48 hour film project in Chicago. We drew drama.

We got into the BEST OF screening but didn't win any awards.

I got nominated for Cinematography. Our team got nominated for Best of Chicago. We didn't win though, which is alright with me.
I think for a crew of 4, we did the best we could.

The cinematography nod was interesting because we used mostly available light.

here's the link (it is also downloadable for playback on Quicktime or VLC Player)

Shot on the HV20 (mounted upside down) w/ Cinevate Brevis 35mm adapter and Minolta MD lenses.

FYI, I'm sort of learning this on my own (not doing film school). So any comments, critiques, whatever you got. Throw it out there. Let me know how you feel about this piece. I'm hoping to join the next DVXfest. You guys got a real positive community of artists here.

Interesting work, Mark. It is well shot and I'm finding lots of good work out there with the same rig as well. This is right in line with some of the best examples.

Not sure if you can/want to change this but I feel the contest description should come off the beginning of the video and the vimeo page as it just gives away too much of the story. The music is a bit too persistent in telling me how to feel as well.

My two cents obviously. Thanks for sharing. :)
