Equivalent of a neg scratch in a Digital world

I was wondering why you had decided you were the 'Hall Monitor for the World Wide Web' and felt so compelled to tell me this was a Repost.

Its a lame and irritating way of telling everone else that you had already seen it.
(So what because others may not have and it was actually relevant to my post about my reshoot.)

Whatever...I was not trying to be the first person on the planet to post up the clip so you didnt "burst my bubble" at all.

It's not uncommon to be told something is a repost. It happens all the time on the site.

I am not a hall monitor, in fact the WWW hardly has halls at all. How does experience has anything to do with this. Just as the fact uz hadz to reshoots coz I messed up has to do with this video.

You are trying to make me feel bad, say whatever you like, it's the WWW. I guess I am lame for saying that this video was posted by you for the (realistically - fourth) time in the past 72 hours. Rather than be an ass, you could have said - my bad. And been done with it. But I am glad you can relate to hitler. Must make you feel good inside.

Cheers!

I guess you just dont understand what a "neg scratch" is and what the implications of it are. In that case the attempt at humour is lost on you. You probably did not even understand the Hitler video due to lack of experience in the film industry.

My post had nothing to do with whether the link is a REPOST . It was meant to illustrate the frustration of reshooting due to a "screw up". The analogy is a "neg scratch and the result is the same RESHOOT.

In future I will make sure I only use original material in my communications that you have never seen beforeand I will check with you first to see if you approve?

Haha, shooter...

I will only say this. You are right, I have no idea what I am doing in the film industry...only that I have shot with everything from an Aaton LTR to and XTR Prod to an F23, to an F900 to an HV20.

You're right I don't know what a scratch on the negative is. Nor do I know anything about film stocks...I only have an account with Kodak and Fuji. I know nothing about processing. I only have an account at DuArt. I know nothing about how to check the gate of a camera or the pressure plate to be sure nothing is there to scratch the negative in the first place. Don't insult my abilities in the film market.

Use the search function next time. It's a funny video but it's been here many times. Go measure the size of your package elsewhere. No one here cares about your ego. You don't intimidate me especially since you are behind a computer. Honestly you aren't worth my time or anyone else's. For taking a gesture to the fact something has already been posted personally and throwing a hissy fit really shows who you are and your maturity level.

Someone lock this thing.

A joke that becomes a topic for insults and reprisals... mmmmm

Sorry about this "Profesionalism".

Here in my country we have very good sense of humor, but a serious thing is a serious thing, like some things in this kind of forums.

We feel involved and solidary with people having problems, and eventually we feel bad being "framed"... like Roger Rabbit was.

Regards.

PS: I have used about 450.000 feet of film from kodak, and never had an account.
I have developed in DuArt for about 25 years, and never had an account.
I own an arri 35, an Aaton minima, a F23 (also a beauty HVX200) and can say that in all this years I only scratched the surface of know something about anything, just that I have to keep learning.

A little humility is part of a good education and Sensitivity.
