Didn't know where to put this but figured it off topic.

Here's the Music Video that the most used red accessory was an ice pack to keep the sucker cool. Downtown Phx summer in a 1902 brothel with no air. using build 15.2.5. From the first set up had the over-heating issues, had 12 codec errors where the camera would stop filming while rolling. Had over 800 dropped frames, had the whole camera freeze on playback, had it not boot a couple times... all this in one 13 hour day. But in the end very happy we shot on the Red.

But enough about the camera issues, how many Sucrets did the singer go through?

Seriously, it looks damn good and well worth the trouble. Love the vignette of the old guy and the drum setup the best.

That looked so GOOD! I muted it and played some Kutless from iTunes, so the music was more to my liking. This really was nice! Since the Red shoots higher than your regular resolution, did you add the shakes in post production since you have room to work with?
 
Nikon mount all nikon glass very happy with result.

Dan Stern did add camera shake on a few shots. the rest where in camera. which is perhaps why we had 12 of the Codec errors that stop the camera from rolling.

we did shoot a lot at 3k and 2k for overcranking and ramping in camera.

Really nice work, looks great, well cast with the old guy and the location is very good. Music... well it is an acquired taste I prefer more early to mid 80s heavy metal than the modern stuff.

Very interesting about the camera shakes. When you say you think they were the reason for the codec errors, are you guessing or did the errors literally happen directly after or during the shaking?
Also did the errors stop or become less frequent after you started using the ice packs?

Am shooting on Red in a couple of weeks and am really concerned about these errors which I keep reading about on Reduser.

Correction, one shot had added Camera shake. Dan Stern did color correction. the rest of effects done in camera...

(ok the blur of the middle finger was also dan)
 
Shot to Red Drive. which is part of the theory that the camera shakes added to the Codec errors.

I just was working with Build 16. the menu froze right when I tried to turn on the step printing option.... and at 8:15 am with out an Ice pack ... out side ... on a day that the high was 110 ... the camera did a Critical shutdown in 5 seconds....


but again really like it...
