Is this a good deal for DVX102BE ?

That's a good deal alright but...
Just so you know, these guys aren't authorized Panasonic resellers (read: grey market)

They are legit though - I've purchased stuff off them in the past with no issues whatsoever, but you'll certainly want to get a Mack warranty - the longest one you can.

Another thing to keep in mind - you can forget trying to get Panasonic support if you buy from them though - Over here in NZ, if it's grey market, Panasonic won't touch it - even if you want to pay them to service it

Keep that in mind so you don't get any nasty surprises down the track :)

these Russians from Globalmediapro are not cosher IMO ! I know of people who were threatened to remove their negative postings in forums like http://www.resellerratings.com
They do deliver the merchandize but as MasterP says: GREY MARKET ! NO WARRANTY!

You get what you pay for .....

Buy from B&H. You might find cheaper places, but the tried and true are much safer.

I wouldnt mind buying it from site but the only problem is because I live in Ireland I will be charged an extra 30% import charge of the total price upon delivery :\

So thats why Im trying to find a dealer in europe (no import charge), the site in the link in my last comment looks reliable but still trying to find more info on them before I buy it...

uuuuggh with some difficulty found some info on the Bentonville Mall site as their terms and conditions bothered me a bit:
- "All items must be visually inspected for damage on delivery as liability is transferred on signature." -

Seems like a few users found their packaged to be delivered (after a few weeks as opposed to few days) and after signing for the package and opening it the goods were either damaged or used and since if you signed for the package you could forget about getting your money back...

Perhaps somebody should add the site to the ratting site (forgot the name)

here is some info in the site I found about them:

Almost any place that is outside Ireland will charge you an import fee, but your way better off spending the extra money to buy from B&H or Adorama...Adorama's prices are a few bucks cheaper than B&H, but they will still charge you the import fee. Besides, if you buy grey market, you wont get any mail in rebates or extras.

do b&h sell pal dvx's? I did'nt see any unless they order them 4u. it wud prob work out the same buying a legit dvx here in europe

Yea the import charge really puts the price high up, I was thinking of ordering the cam from B&H and have them deliver to somebody in US and let that person forward the package to me, that way you COULD avoid import charges / vat, but its a bit of hassle to go though. Or even if you flied over and picked up yourself it would still probably work out cheaper.
Cheapest dvx's I found in Europe range from 2,300 - 2,400 euro. A store in Ireland had them for sale for €3,800 so thats why im searhing for them online :)
