What the hell is so interesting about this thread that it got over a 1000 views today? Yes, I know they are not unique visitors but still - you think I was giving away free money.
I had to put that out there. I'm baffled by it.

what's your plan for getting it onto tape? HDCAM SR decks are $1000/day and complicated as hell. I still manage to f*ck up an output from time to time because i missed a setting buried deep in the deck's menu system. but i know a place that'll do an HDCAM SR output for $350 per hour of content. so for a 90 minute feature, it's $525. might be restricted to Avid and Final Cut Pro though.
ADS in hollywood. ask for Karin. she'll negotiate on the price. if you go for it, tell them "Sabi" sent you.
i have forum at www.sabiforum.com and all of a sudden i started getting hundreds, then thousands of hits on certain threads. did a little log checking and found one IP was responsible. searched for the IP and it turns out it belonged to a new company using AI to catalogue the internet for search engines. I called them to tell them to stop because they were eating up my bandwidth like crazy.
I would expect they are going nuts cataloging the gazillion threads at dvxuser. the IP is 208.84.134.22 if the powers that be want to check it out.
Actually, by that logic all the other threads would be getting a gazillion views too and they aren't. At least not in this subforum. Now I'm really curious.
Mods - can we check this out?? I'm really curious. Paging Luis!

No, my footage is just as true 1080 as theirs...I think the simple fact is that this is all hardware CCing and their hardware takes tapes, plain and simple.
What I was getting at was the fact that the HVX200's DVCproHD codec is 1280x1080 and not 1920x1080... I know that every editing system will recognize the codec and up-rez to the full 1920x1080 image but for CC purposes it might be better to have the file in a full 1920x1080 format to begin with...
