Wait a second, print only for the US, and PDF available to all... that's what you guys will likely end up doing, right?

That's terrific. I think that I would prefer the print copy so that I can read it in the 'library', on a plane, on the patio, in a box... with a fox. Thanks guys, I don't need to spend more time in front of the computer. :)
 
Update: we're working hard on this project. We're trying to build a workflow and that the hardest part is getting things rolling in the beginning. Announcing the publication to the membership was necessary to gauge interest; the downside is that everybody's waiting eagerly for the first issue.

While we have some great content in store for everyone for the issue #1, there are a lot of different factors that need to come together. We're likely to trip over ourselves as we stumble through the initial stages, but hang in there. I'm more enthusiastic about it then ever before.

Currently we're still developing the first issue, and it's going to take some time. I'm anxious as everyone else, so hang in there. I think that once the first issue comes out there's going to be even more interest by contributors and advertisers. I have great hopes for the publication in future issues.

Well I'd subscribe - In regards to contect.. don't forget us dvx100 a and b users - I just got mine last week. I think it would be great to have tips here and there in the pages. Like tonight I was working on Livetype in FCP and did not know you can only change colors of the text 'before' you apply an effect.
 
First issue as far as I know is pretty much in the can. Working on some other stuff for it right now (advertisers, etc.), and John is beginning work on material for the 2nd issue.

John is planning on covering the screening by the way, and we'll be releasing a special edition pdf only 4 page (or so) of the magazine.

I was on another site and had seen either a cover or mock cover for the first issue and it had mike mcqueens name on it. I left him a congrats message on another site we both frequent but for the life of me i can't remember where I saw it. Any help?
 
Hi all, just when I thought DVX user could'nt get any better - You guys pull this print mag idea out of the hat!
I've been very busy this summer, and not looked around this area of the boards lately, so been a bit slow on the uptake here.
before I subscribe, I have a couple of questions;
1 will the print version be available to people outside of the U.S.? (I'm in the U.K.) postage payable?
2 Is the print version of edition #1 still available?
(surely a future collector's item!)
