Hey people,
I spent the past few days creating a few different versions and many drafts of our production demo reel including the stuff we shot over the past year. It'd be great to receive some reviews and critiques from you guys before I present it out.

Mixed formats includes:
Naked HVX;
DVX + Letus35a + Nikon;
HVX + LEX + Zeiss;
XHA1 + LEX + Nikon;

Thanks!

b&w scene was hvx+lex+zeiss, reason why i didn't put more of that scene is because b&w isn't the trend anymore =/ but it could still be done.

but thanks for your feedback gabriel.

Very nice stuff overall. Who's your target audience for this?

A couple of the shots seem underexposed (the shot where 3 people are standing near a car, about 1/3 in stands out most to me) but hard to say out of context. I'd say the city stuff at night isn't up to the high standard you set with everything else. It was a little bit odd that you used just that one single piece of dialogue. But again it depends on who your audience is and what services you're trying to promote.

Good choice of locations! Korean Friendship Bell? USC parking garage?

Hello Willis, Your content looks wonderful. If you are interested in licensing it, I would recommend you take a look at my site Pixelflow. We accept native P2 clips, as well as, DVCPro100 and other HD formats. It would be great to hear what you think.

I'm just a big nerd and I read a lot of the threads. And then there you are. Voila!!!

But wait a second is this REAL Doug or Robot Doug? I can never tell.

Wouldn't you like to know.

Hint: both Dougs don't like underexposed images!

(sorry for derailing your thread)

Hey guys, I appreciate your feedbacks, doing some fine tuning with one of my directors, ill have an update soon.

-spot on w/ the korean friendship bell + USC parking lot
-we took out a few dialogue scenes, didn't flow too well w/ the reel =/
-the underexposure of that scene was intentional, i guess it'd make a lot more sense if the film was posted, that was shot 16mm btw
-city lights scene... i agree =/ let me see if i can do something about it w/ the director

again thanks for the feedback!

Hey Willis, A couple of thoughts on the audio side.. Perhaps cut to the first scene with the asian silhouette a touch later so that it hits with the synth. Also, if you have the female voice over without the background sounds, I think it would make it a lot more impactful. Perhaps bring down the gain a bit and filter off some of the highs on the footsteps at the opening. The cinematography is brilliant. I love the camera angles and motion. The soundtrack is beautiful.
