Hey guys.

I just came home from an event in Norway called "Extremesport week" where my friend and I followed a proffesional skydiving crew from around the world called "Nordic Meet".
We had both our sgpro/dvx rigs and were supposed to film and edit a short clip everyday which would be screened at the evening in a big festival tent. It was quite stressful, and now I know I'm never gonna work in TV :)
This is our "Thursday" clip, and the helmet cam footage was shot by the skydivers, and the rest was shot by us.

- Cheers!

Cool footage, Smettli. Edited well. I'm doing a documentary series right now for this company which has me shooting 9 hour days and editing that same night. It's insane, I feel your pain.

wow

wow

Man that was A M A Z I N G. How'd you get a job like that?

Seriously though great footage and some sick stunts.

Seemed like you were getting real nice colors on those ground shots. What lens were you using on your SGpro? Did you do much CC in post?

Ace man.

Thanks guys!

I'm glad I'm not you right now, harper. Sounds harsh :)

My friend got us the job through a colleague at his work who knew the captain of skydiving crew personally. Though this wasn't a paying job, we did it for the experience and the chance to hang out with these really great guys.

For lenses I mostly used my Soligor(pentax mount) 75-150mm lens which made it a bit easier when people come falling down from the sky everywere :) Though the shots of the guys gearing up in the beginning was shot with my 55mm pentax and my friend were using a 55mm nikon. My friend used a 210mm nikon when following the guys far up in the air, and a zeiss 35mm for some of the big-jump shots(I only used my 75-150mm there).
In the end I used some magic bullet to color the shots.

Thanks again!

i really commend you on that. what i really noticed was that i didnt notice a change in cameras (if that makes sense). meaning the colors werent drastically different or anything and it all flowed really nicely. really nice work

also, those were some crazy tricks and stunts.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear that it flowed well even with the mixed formats.
And yeah, those guys were crazy skilled :)

-cheers!
