Who is going to the DVXuser festival July 11th?

I'm going to leave both Shawn, and Ken (producer of Aetas) stranded at LAX if both Barry and JDS dont come.
 
Alright everyone, I feel terible for throwing out that announcement that I was probably going to be down there and then pulling it back. That being said, and I hate to do the same thing again, but it is looking like I might be there after all. More to come...

:undecided So much damn pressure if I don't go:

1) Jason is going to change my custom title to "I'm Not Going"
2) A host of people are going to be dissapointed/mad at me
3) Barry will not go, which will make even more ****ing people mad at me. Tommy may even get out his pitchfork (don't you dare turn that into a sexual thing!)
4) I will miss the opportunity of meeting a bunch of great people in person and having numerous fantastic networking chances.

I don't know if I can handle it! Although, let me say this, I have been talking to Mark and the prospects are looking very good that I will make it down. So, if I do, that means Barry has to go. You heard me, Barry! :evil:
 
If you guys are looking for last minute flight deals, be sure to check out Virgin America (www.virginamerica.com). They have a limited airport selection, but their prices are unbelievably cheap. It ended up being worth it to drive 3 hours north and fly out of Seattle, as Virgin doesn't fly out of Portland. Tickets were about half the cost of flying out of here. $187 instead of $390.

Their cities are:
Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC.

Hope this helps some of you get there!
 
I flew to colorado on short notice from Birmingham, AL a few weeks back. I flew on Southwest as they were about half the price of any other ticket I could find... So, check out southwest as well.

Oh, speaking of beer... for the Saturday BBQ, Shawn and I are bringing a treat from Oregon for all of you. Any of you beer snobs/aficionados who have heard about the beer up here will get a chance to sample some hard-to-find wares. From my personal stash, I am bringing: The Abyss (Deschutes), Black Butte XX (Deschutes), Fred from the Wood (Hair of the Dog) and Doggie Claws (Hair of the Dog). Shawn's bringing some harder stuff, but I'll let him talk about that. :)

Any requests? I'll see what I can do...
 
Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make this one, turns out I'll be flying to Indianapolis next week. Next time though it will be marked, underlined, and circled on the calender as soon as it's announced (assuming it's still in LA).

More than cool. We are encouraging everyone to come and bring as many people as possible. We want this first-time DVXUSER film fest to kick serious butt and raise eyebrows in Hollywood. We'll be organizing a fat monster barbecue on Saturday so plan to stay over for that too.
