Package selling may not be the best for the seller or the buyer

I have sold many things online in my years.
I have sold packages and individual items from packages.

When selling in a package the buyer justifiably wants to get a "package" deal. And the buyer at times ends up with unwanted extras.

It is more work but selling individual items will more likely make the seller better money.

There is no "package" deal to worry about.

Selling individually can be faster; you sell items to people that need them now instead of waiting for that magical "person who wants the whole package."

Of course you may end up with some parts of the package that are not as desirable as the whole thing, but these parts are usually not desired at all even in the package and you are "throwing "them in for practically free anyway. I usually just sell these leftovers at a really good price and unload them, or worst case give them to charity and write it off my taxes.

Just my 2 cents for all the package guys out there.....don't sell yourself short.

I've sold several package items no problem. I'm looking to unload things I don't want or need anymore quickly. There are plenty of people selling individual things. I guess it depends on how bad you need the bread at the time.

Yeah I understand your point. I was noticing that a bunch of people come on here to sell their stuff as a package and get barraged with requests to split up the items.....sometimes it is smart to do so.

Yeah, now you got me rethinking lol. I just hate holding onto things i'm not using and I hope i'm giving someone a deal. I have such a hard time pricing individual items.

It's true. I've often seen package deals here that are not of interest to me while one PART of the package is.

To limit yourself to only people that want the whole package also means that only new people who do not own a rig or people that are wanting a whole new rig are potential customers.

Why limit it.

Most of the DVXusers here are people that have some gear and only need a few more pieces, not a whole set-up.
