it was sweet, 202 yard par 3. now that i've conquered the game i think its time i step away from golf while i'm still on top....kinda like mj

I see you play golf the way I do -- get your good shot in for the round and walk off. If I hit a hole a one, that would be it. No sense in ruining the memory.

I've got one from 105 Par 3 a few years ago. I don't think I'll hit a better shot in my life, ball was straight in line with the hole, didn't bounce at all and went straight into the cup. Couldn't believe it.

Congrats on the hole in one.

Ive been chasing one for a long time and no dice. I did at one stage get my HC down to 4 . But not enough time these days.

Golf? What's that? Actually a good friend of mine is fantastic at the game and I play with him occasionally...yeah, Tennis is my sport.

thanks!

Lucky for me there were 4 others there to see it. From 202 yards away we couldn't see what happened to the ball once it hit the green, it looked like it was going to roll over the green since it was moving so fast and appeared to cross over the green. So we dug around in the trees a bit looking for it and then figured, why not check the cup? As I approached the cup everything went into slow motion, at about 4 feet away from it I started to get excited and it was almost like a slow motion dolly-in shot looking down on the hole. And then ......bam! There was my Nike X-Velocity ball sitting in the cup, I couldn't believe it! After that my game went to crap but I didn't even care, as far as I was concerned I had just accomplished something that all golfers dream about and could pretty much write off the round for the day.

Honestly it would have been better to see it go in, but its one of those things that as time passes you start to realize how crazy the shot was...I don't think there are many experiences in life that can compare to it, i think more people win the lottery than get an Ace. Personally I'd prefer a few million dollars hahaha!

I got one at Celebration Station this weekend. It went right through the wagon wheel and plopped right in. I think it was only about 4 yards out, though.

Congrats!!

That's a brilliant post H :-)

I've gotten close to a hole in one a few times... and it's funny how well you remember even getting CLOSE... there are a couple great courses in STL with dramatic elevation changes, and there's nothing cooler then firing a shot 220+ yards onto a green that's 70' lower then you... and I remember this one time where we all went from a whisper to a scream "...hoe...lee...SH*T..." but I lipped it. That was still enough to make me the hero for the day...
