4th Los Angeles P2HD User Group Meeting

I've been looking on the Myspace HVX200 User's group page every few days. I've never seen any mention of this meeting or I wouldn't have made plans! I was looking forward to coming out again.
We ought to meet more often.

Have a great meeting!

Ah, sorry. I haven't really kept up with that MySpace group page lately. I like to use DVXUser as the primary means of getting the word out.

Ok, I just posted the info on MySpace now - hopefully we'll get a few more people. :)

Can I get a breakdown of what's planned for the day? There was something else happening saturday and I was thinking of showing up at maybe 2pm for this thing, so I was wondering what the shotlist looks like

Good question.

Each meeting sorta has its only flow and can vary. But the general schedule is:

12pm-1pm: Meet n' greet

1pm-3pm: Special Presenter shows their stuff. Demos. Q&A

3pm-4pm: Start winding down. Goodbyes.

All the while people are networking and checking out each other's gear. There's food/drinks. And just a lot of fun. :) When possible, we try to set up an area where people can showcase their work. This has been tough lately as we haven't had the equipment avail to do that. We're relying on the generosity of members to provide that sort of equipment, but if it's not avail, then that's the way it goes.

Well DC was giving away free 64 gb P2 Cards but he ran out of those. You can still show up and eat cheese if you want

Well, at least I made good on the latter! :)

Thanks to everyone that came, and especially Boris for showing us the wonders of the DVTEC products!

See you all next time . . .

Hell Yeah,

I'm glad I came, everybody was really cool. Looking forward to doing this again!

Thanks to Boris, DC, everybody that brought food or gear...see you in six

Excellent!

Hey, I have an idea that I wanted to run by you all.

I'm thinking about have a "swap meet" aimed at the DVXUser community and LA film makers. Basically . . .

Do you have some gear that you want to get rid of for some cash?

Do you have some cash that you want to get rid of for some gear?

Great! C'mon down and bring your stuff and/or some cash, cash or cash!

I figure we can get a bunch of people together specifically for this purpose.

Let me know if you guys have any interest in this. If there's enough, I will organize something soon.
