Good trailer, interesting story!
Sound seemed not that great, could be the compression, very minor thing.
I definitevly want to watch it!
Also I am really curious how you weaved in the real christian stuff in the story, I guess this was the trickiest part...
And dude, the photo gallery is freakin nuts!
I don't know how to do that. How do I find what the encode settings were by downloading the trailer?
BTW, what the link on Youtube. I couldn't find it by searching. Thanks.
yeah, the trailer on Youtube is really good quality. My Youtube submissions have never reached this level.
I wish I understood what you mean by 480p. Do you convert the HDV to 480 progressive and then submit? What format do you submit in, 480p h.264, 480p MPEG-4? Or what? Thanks for posting the link.
I like the trailer, even though I have no clue what the story is about. Is the guy a Christian? Was Heather not a Christian?
That's a great premise. I like it. Would it be poor trailer making if you let the audience know that he's not a Christian? We get the idea from the opening montage sequence that she wasn't much of a Christian, but we don't know if he is or not. But we suspect that he isn't when he says, "because she's a Christian!" So either he's of another faith or he's an atheist, but there's a big difference there. If he's Jewish then the audience needs to know, because then it's another story altogether. Frankly that wouldn't be a bad premise. But my question is: would it be better to let the audience know that he's not a Christian? I don't know, really. I was a bit torn about it. It's something I'm sensitive too, but I don't know about the general audience, whether they would be or not.
About the encoding, it's okay, I know encoding for the web is a lucrative business and few people share their secrets, on the web especially.
I don't mind telling you that I've recently been advised about doing the exports for the web with mpeg streamclip (a free software). And if this doesn't work to my satisfaction, then I'll have to bite the bullet and buy Sorenson Squeeze.
Thanks again for your comments.
