Hi There,

Sorry for double posting, but I'll like to share this with as much HVX users as I can and at the news session it's not really kicking.

If you are in LA for CineGear I would like to invite you to watch my documentary "Paper or Plastic?" opening at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Friday, June 20th at 7:30pm.

View the trailer here:

About excelling in life at whatever you do, Paper or Plastic? is
a character-driven documentary feature that follows eight
contestants and their dedicated supporters from around the U.S.
as they get ready for the National Grocery Bagging competition in
Las Vegas. Speed, accuracy and heart will determine who is best
qualified to ask you, "Paper or plastic?"

Tickets are now available for the following screening times at:
http://lafilmfest.com/

Friday, June 20th 7:30pm – World Premiere
Sunday, June 22nd 1:00pm
Wednesday, June 25th 4:00pm

I shot this film with entirely with the HVX200.

We hope to see you there!

Very well crafted and entertaining trailer. Wish you the best with that. What are your plans for exhibition and distribution? I think you'd be able to get a network interested in this

We'll be considering offers (if we get any) at the Festival.
So far it's going well , I'm not so sure about theatrical but TV and DVD can be really good is done properly.
We've been talking to some agents and producers reps that are very interested on the film, most of the talk has been with our producers and I gladly leave that to them.
Thanks.

...I recently saw an episode of My Name Is Earl where they had a grocery bagging competition and I thought "what a crazy idea from the writers!"
And now I see it is real! :)

May I ask what accessories you have been using on the HVX? I guess a shoulder-support of some kind?

No I shoot everything handheld. For verite style it's the most practical way of doing it.
We shot about 170 hours with 3 8gig cards and the P2 Store. Backing up every night.
We are premiering tonight in LA, very excited about it!

Nice ! If you 'followed characters from around the country' did you have multiple crews or did you do it all yourself ? What was your shooting ratio ? All HVX ? Did you do a transfer to film, or to tape ?
