that was great, that looked like a huge budget hollywood movie. the performances were amazing. the cinematography amazing and the whole over all look was great. really wonderful.

hey just wondering, didnt see it in the thread, can you say what the budget was on this?

At this time I'm not able to say the budget on the film.. but it was not big budget... I can say that much.
 
I have to say that was an excellent trailer.

very impressive... definitely one of the best trailers i have seen on this site.

To be honest the whole christian genre is not my thing but the trailer left me wanting to know what happens next... the acting was very good.

I really dont have anything negative to say that was a superb trailer. Good work.

to me it honestly looks like it could get a theatrical release. the story is good enough and it "looks" good enough. i mean i cant believe it was shot on hvx. it looks more like the red one or something.

That's what we're hoping for :)

Marcelo (our gaffer) is absolutely incredible at lighting... I've never worked with anyone as talented as him in that department, and of course Geoff has a wonderful eye for framing, and the production design team did a great job as well!

Hey Brad,

For the film we haven't actually locked anyone in yet, I know we're in talks with someone who runs a post house that does that, but I don't think that is locked yet...

For the trailer, Stephen Brock (also a DVXuser member) jumped in and helped us out with mixing the audio.

I'm the editor on the film.

We're using Avid for the edit.

Color Grading on the trailer was done in Avid (it was very minimal) but for the film we'll probably be taking the film to a post house to get a full color grade on one of the big systems.

We're on Cut 5 of the film, which is 99.5% a locked edit. We just have to go through it one or two more times to see if there is anything that stands out...
 
Brandon. I can't wait to buy this. It looks INCREDIBLE (not to mention such a compelling story). Probably the most pro HVX footage i've seen. It honestly looks like 35. Watched it at work w/o sound, can't wait to properly watch when I get home.

Regarding the next project... we're not sure yet, we're just two months since we wrapped production on this... but DVXuser will certainly know when the next project begins :) :thumbsup:


Also, I have heard that the writer/director of NO GREATER LOVE, Brad Silverman, a good friend, and amazingly talented guy might be dropping in sometime soon!

Wow, I think this post puts me with 14,100 within my man Brandon! Thanks for all the encouraging words regarding the No Greater Love trailer! I look forward to hearing your critiques and suggestions.
 
Anyway this is Brad Silverman. I have the pleasure of working with Brandon on this and a few other films in the past. I'm officially the writer/director for this movie. But sooooo many talented people have done an amazing job.
