HVX-200: ASIAN/EUROPEAN model - how to set for 1080/50P?

HI guys, I have Barry's HVX-200 book and his fabulous DVDs and a .PDF of the PAnasonic HVX-200 users/operators guide and a PAPER version of the operators guide in Poh-tong-hua (mandarin - useful for my wife but not for me) that came with the camera new fom PAnasonic.. oh and an ASIAN/European flavour of the "fabo" HVX-200 and I'd like to know...

How canI set the camera for 1080/50P? IS it possible? (instructions ?)

I shoot mainly in 720PN - its great.

I have selective footage where I need in 1080/50i. Its excellent.. no issues with this but..

Was wondering how to set HVX200 in 1080/50P. I guess is his similar to the usa based HVX-200's that offer 1080/60P (do they?).

1080 is 1080i only (I believe)

The PAL version has 1080/25P and 1080/50i. No video camera has 1080/50P.

You can set up to 1080 25p, not 50p. Just go to recording format and select 1080i 25p. Its true 25p recorded in a 1080 50i stream. (50i means 50 half frames. What the HVX does is record 25 full frames in the 50i bandwith).
